Birr GAA Notes Monday 16th February
Division 1A Hurling – Grant Heating St. Brendan’s Park
Birr GAA looks forward to welcoming both Offaly and Galway Senior Hurlers for their Division 1A Nations Hurling League Round 4 this Sunday 22nd February with a throw-in at 2:00pm. We also welcome all supporters who are asked to arrive at Grant Heating St Brendan’s Park early as a large attendance is expected.
Best of luck to Johnny Kelly and his management team along with the Offaly Senior hurlers including Eoghan Cahill, Ben Miller, Luke Nolan and Ailbe Watkins. Preparations are well underway and thank you to all volunteers involved in the preparations.
Birr Minor Club League Forecast 2026
Round 4 was a football week which proved a little more challenging for players. Congratulations to our winner Willie Shortt who wins €100 with 20 points from a possible 24. Cathal Hogan was the Lucky Dip winner who received €50.
In the overall Cathal Kirwan has hit the front with 75 points just 1 point ahead of Colin Bennet on 74 points with a further three players on 73 points. It’s still all to play for with the best 6 of 8 rounds to count to your overall score.
This week there were 271 entries, thank you to everyone for your continued support.

We are encouraging all players, supporters and families to get registered early and continue backing the green and red for the year ahead. You can renew online through Foireann or by contacting any committee member.
